Tuition and Aid

The core MBA can be completed in three semesters, with an optional focus area completed in the fourth semester. The core MBA tuition is estimated to be $27,351 for in-state students and $58,446 for out-of-state and international students. If you plan to pursue a focus area, please budget for an additional semester of 9 credits. If you plan to pursue a dual degree, please see the notes below.  

Some students choose to expedite their degree by taking courses online during the summer or winter sessions. Please note that these courses will be an additional charge.

For the MBA/MSBA program, you will be responsible for an additional semester of 12+ credits and an additional summer course estimated at $2,775 on top of the core MBA estimate. 

For the MBA/MF program, you will be responsible for an additional semester of 12+ credits and an additional summer course estimated at $2,775 on top of the core MBA estimate.  

For the MBA/MS Sport program, you will be responsible for an additional semester of graduate tuition on top of the core MBA estimate. Please connect with the Sport Management department to discuss additional expenses and funding options.  

For the MBA/MPPA program, you will be responsible for an additional three semesters of graduate tuition on top of the core MBA estimate. please connect with the School of Public Policy to discuss additional expenses and funding options. 

Fees 

• $507 one-time graduate entering fee 
• $86 graduate senate tax per semester (fall and spring) 
• $438.50 student health fee per semester (fall and spring) 
• $2,157.00 student health insurance (fall and spring)*

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required when you confirm acceptance to the On-Campus MBA and will be applied to the first fall semester bill. 

Students interested in federal financial aid must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Include federal school code 002221 under School Selection. UMass Amherst offers additional financial support information, including on how to apply for a Graduate PLUS loan, through the Financial Aid Office. 

Massachusetts requires on-campus college students to have comprehensive health insurance. Students taking five or more credits are automatically enrolled in the individual SHBP each semester and charged on the semester's tuition bill. If you plan to use private health insurance instead of the SHBP, you must waive the SHBP by the add/drop deadline. Isenberg graduate students can seek part-time employment opportunities across campus. There are also a limited number of on-campus assistantships. Graduate applicants are also strongly advised to apply for fellowships such as the Javits Fellows, NSF Fellowships, and others provided by national professional organizations.
